When you find out that you're communicating with a scammer, a natural reaction you'll have is to report the scammer to his email host company, such as yahoo/hotmail etc.

You might think us mad but we strongly advise you not to do so. Why? Well the scammer will have his account suspended and will no longer be able to use. Result! - you might think. But the answer is more complicated than that. We want as many people to know that xxxx@yahoo.com is a scammer - so we encourage you to post here, with the scammer's full email address and his emails to you.

Plus all the photos and the phone numbers that he's using. We want you to stop communicating with the scammer, block his calls and emails, block his social networking accounts.

This way the scammer stays in blissful ignorance that we're onto him, right?

The next potential victim comes along and may just Google the email address, the phone number or google search the photo. And she will be led to this site and be warned.

If the scammer's email address has disappeared, the scammer will simply find another host and another email address.

So you know what to do, right? Block the scammer, don't report him to his email host and post here, OK?

The same advice goes for free social website profiles like FB, MySpace, and all free Dating Websites.

Do not report these to the hosts in order to try to close scammer accounts, report them here please.

Scammer video accounts that contain victim names or other personal information with naked or embarrassing videos are the exception to the Do Not Close Scammer Account Rule. These should be flagged and closed.

If anyone cruising YouTube or Dailymotion or other public video website comes across such a video, please flag them.

I will add this to the advice about scammer adverts found online on free websites:

We DO NOT want scam adverts taken down, either. This does not hurt the scammer, it HELPS HIM. Victims need to see the advert is the one that we are reporting here as a scam, so they are convinced it is one. Also, we do not want scammer to know his email is reported as a scam by closing adverts and alerting him that he might be posted online somewhere . Then, he will change his email in 30 seconds and repost the ad, taking his present victims with him and no warnings will be online until someone gets scammed and reports it again.

Please, hands off free ads!! Just post them here to save as many victims as possible.
